COOK BOOK AND RESTAURANT PHOTOGRAPHY * VIVID STYLISH MOUTH WATERING IMAGES * AMAZING WAY TO BRAND YOUR RESTAURANT * FOOD MAGAZINE PHOTOGRAPHY

It’s true when chefs say that we eat with our eyes first. The colors, textures and shapes are a crucial part of your culinary experience. Can you blame people for snapping a quick photo before they dive in?

While composition is going to help add interest and focus to your images, great food photography needs great food styling and skilled photographer to jugle styling, light, composition, color, etc etc,,,,, all that makes up that WOW shot.

One of my favorite attributes about shooting for recipe books is the magic of turning the most challenging recipes into beautiful photographs, that you can almost taste by looking at. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Some may believe that food photography is not worth hiring a photographer. It’s simply because they can “just snap a decent photo with their phone”. Nope, no, stop, please. Leave the real images to your customers. Let them take the photos with their phones and share them ( great market tool too, no argues here). But as a restaurant owner, you want to convey your food in the most enticing way possible to enhance your restaurant branding.

Yes,I understand. You want to showcase the real thing, but with a little bit of creative direction, staging, and prop consideration, your food images has the ability to extend your brand in enormous ways.

If your food looks beautiful and attractive on your menu or website, or in your cook book, it’s only natural that more people are going to be drawn to it and want to come to your restaurant or purchase that book with beautiful, cozy images of your food with your recipes. Until they came across your website( or book), they may not have even heard of you, but once they see your dishes, they are more likely to become future customers. Mobile searching behavior dictates that many people who search for a store or a place to eat will visit that store within a short period of time.

Most of the people usually remember only 10% of the information they read or hear. If you pair that information with a relevant image, the percentage comes up to 65%!

It makes sense that people would rather buy a dish just because of how good it looks in the picture, regardless if they even wanted it in the first place. And if you still don’t believe why food photography is important, know that lots of restaurants went from text-based menus to photo-based menus and their in online ordering increased.

I stared off as a portrait photographer. And when I first tried to get into food photography I must admit there are all new and very different set of rules here. I had to learn and even get slightly different gear and accessories for this genre of photography. SO, it’s not easy to get all the elements just right without a professional food photographer or/and food stylist. It’s my job to consider the food, the lighting, the colors, the angles, the props and on and make your life easier.

With all of these challenges, you can see that it takes a team to get gorgeous and appetizing food images. But it is so worth it!

we eat with our eyes first

- Chefs say

Professional food photography can be a huge boost you need to take your business to the next level. Even a small library of photos can be the best marketing tool you ever invest in, since they can be used in advertisements, social media posts, menus, etc. In the end, food is food is food, right? So you need something to make your restaurant or your cook book stand out, that speaks to who you are as a company, that presents to people the best of what you offer.

Good photography is so, so important in a creative industry like floristry. That's not to say florists don’t need thousand pound cameras, tripods and qualifications, but dark fuzzy phone shots on both your social media channels and your website just look a little bit pants and unprofessional to say the least. Let me help you to show off your talent as floral artist.
